Zhangjiagang city recently established insurance for voluntary blood donors as special thanks for their kind behavior.
Yu Hong is a 39-year-old doctor in Lianxing community, Jinfeng town, who has worked wholeheartedly for a long time.
“I’m so glad to be a volunteer, helping others will benefit yourself as well,” said Huang.
A meeting about volunteer work in Zhangjiagang city themed around “Three Love” was held in Shanzhou Hotel on Nov 21, 2012.
Qingchunyouzhan, the name of a volunteer program, was awarded as Zhangjiagang 2012 Outstanding Volunteer Service Program.
Loving care stations have been established in communities in Baoshui district of Jingang town, encouraging volunteers to offer volunteer service.
Currently, the association has 120 registered volunteers including public servants, teachers, entrepreneurs and students.
Lu Fuxing, a member of the Zhangjiagang volunteer service team for blood donation, was widely praised for his contribution to propaganda work on blood donation.
