China celebrates the year of horse

Folk artist Hou Gouyi blows boiled sugar to form the shape of a horse at a temple fair for the traditional Chinese Spring Festival on the third day of the Lunar New Year at Ditan Park, also known as the Temple of Earth, in Beijing February 2, 2014. Sugar sculpture blowing is a traditional Chinese folk art where artists blow and sculpt hot sugar to create three-dimensional figures. The Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, began on January 31 and marked the start of the Year of the Horse, according to the Chinese zodiac. [Photo/Agencies]
