故宮文物醫(yī)院專家表示，一件文物來到文物醫(yī)院修復(fù)，其過程還真有些像是病人到醫(yī)院看病。首先，各文物保管部門列出需要修復(fù)或保養(yǎng)的文物清單，到文物醫(yī)院"掛號"(make appointments)。接著，要借助先進(jìn)設(shè)備(with the help of advanced equipment)，如文物專用CT機(jī)(CT machine for relics)、顯微觀察設(shè)備(device for microscopic observation)、材料分析設(shè)備(device for material analysis)、無損探傷設(shè)備(non-destructive inspection machine)，針對文物的病害進(jìn)行科學(xué)診斷(diagnosis)。根據(jù)不同文物的損傷情況，文物醫(yī)院給出修復(fù)意見，然后分別送入各相應(yīng)科室，這有點像是分診。然后就是開始修復(fù)，文物修復(fù)完成后，醫(yī)院還要填寫詳細(xì)的修復(fù)記錄(conservation and restoration records)，就像是一個病人的病歷。最后，修好的文物就可以出院了。
