Doctors perform a heart transplant on 12-year-old boy named Xiaobao in Beijing on May 3, 2014. Xiaobao suffered from a dilated cardiomyopathy and was unable to pump blood efficiently. A donated heart from almost 2,000 kilometers away saved his life. Ye Jin, 21, from Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, died from a brain tumor on Thursday and donated his heart to Xiaobao. The surgery was a success and Xiaobao woke up on May 3.
