Mining accident kills 3 people, injures 2 in Shandong

Three people were killed and two others injured in a mining accident in Zhaoyuan, Shandong province, early Wednesday morning, local authorities said.
According to a statement from the city's emergency management bureau on Thursday, the accident occurred in an infrastructure section during underground slag removal operations. The two injured are in stable condition.
Post-accident relief efforts and an investigation into the cause of the accident are currently underway.
