Channeling the spirit of their predecessors from a century ago, Chinese and US citizens should reach out, connect and find a common language to open up opportunities, Eric Chipman, executive director of the Helen Foster Snow Foundation, said in a recent interview with China Daily. Chipman noted that Soong Ching Ling and Helen Foster Snow chose to be brave by reaching out to one another and forging a close friendship in the 1930s. "As a follower of Helen Foster Snow's legacy, I believe it's all about bridge-building and connecting together," Chipman said.
