China refutes Trumps 'gift from China' claim over intercepted Iranian ship

China's Foreign Ministry on Friday dismissed a claim made by United States President Donald Trump that the Iranian ship intercepted by American forces might have had a "gift from China".

Speaking at a regular news briefing, ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said such accusation and association holds "no factual basis".

Normal trade between countries should not be interfered or sabotaged, he added.
