The 24th Vasaloppet International Skiing Festival kicked off on Sunday at Jingyuetan National Scenic Area in Changchun, Jilin province, attracting competitors from dozens of countries and regions.

The event opens the 2025-26 season for Worldloppet, an organization that hosts cross-country ski marathons around the world. The event attracted 2,227 participants from 33 countries and regions, with 306 international athletes.

Following the opening ceremony, athletes competed in five races ranging from 300 meters to 50 kilometers. The race course started and finished at Jingyuetan Snow World. The course is surrounded by over 100 square kilometers of artificial forest and 5.3 square kilometers of water, providing magnificent scenery throughout the competition.
