Large Medium SmallMANILA - A radio broadcaster was killed after being shot by unidentified gunmen in Tagum City, Davao province in southern Philippines, police said on Wednesday.
Local media identified the victim as Rogelio Butalid, anchorman of Radyo Natin Station.
In a report published by local media organization ABS-CBN on its website, initial investigation by police showed that Butalid has just wrapped up his radio program at 9 am on Wednesday when the assailants blocked his path and shot him.
Police said they have yet to identify the suspects and the motive behind the killing.
