Temperatures continue to rise in central Russia

MOSCOW - A brutal heat wave was continuing in central Russia with temperature rising to 40C, meteorology services reported Thursday.
The hot weather was expected to hit Moscow and other regions of central Russia from July 23 to 27.
The current temperatures exceed the norm by 7-9 degrees, meteorology services said.
This summer in Russia has already been tagged as the hottest in 130 years.
