The 8th Tianjin Yuyang Pear Garden Tourism and Cultural Festival in Jixian county of Tianjin held its opening day on Saturday, and will last until May 10. The festival will hold yoga performances, folk music performances and intangible cultural heritage shows among many other activities. Highlights from the event include hiking through Panshan Mountain and camping.

Jixian county has a long history of planting pear trees. Every spring, the county's grand pear blossom forms a spectacular scene, attracting a lot of tourists to the area.
