'Silk Road' captured in planted field

A view of a canola flower field, with crop circles to represent the elements of the Silk Road, in Zhuangxing town, Shanghai, March 31, 2015. It took 20 people five months to plant the 40,000-square-meter field with canola plants, wheat and other crops to create the designs. The crop designs feature camels, desert elements, the Flying Apsaras (the symbol of Dunhuang art), Jiayu Pass, and the Roman Colosseum, which all relate to the ancient trade route. [photo/IC]
