Mooncake chess combines game and treats

A bakery in Nanjing, East China’s Jiangsu province, sells chess pieces made from mooncakes, Sept 2, 2011. The mooncake is the traditional food for Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Sept 12 this year, or Aug 15 on the Chinese lunar calendar. In this version of the popular board game Xiang Qi (Chinese chess), which represents the battle between two armies - red and black - players can eat the mooncake pieces when they are captured and removed from the board. The creative Xiang Qi mooncake is a hot seller, local media reported. [Photo/CFP]
