Agriculture bookstores popular among villagers

Liu Peng, a village official in Chetou town, instructs a villager learning about agricultural technology in Anyuan county in Jiangxi province. During the past year, Jiangxi province has opened 4,600 agriculture bookstores for villagers to expanding scientific knowledge about agriculture.
The agriculture bookstore campaign started in 2007 in Jiangxi province. The books available at these libraries are on topics ranging from agriculture technology to literature, law and social sciences. The bookstores have been warmly received by local villagers. [Photo/Xinhua]
