Twenty-one people who were involved in a clash that resulted in eight deaths will stand trial at the intermediate people's court in Kunming, Yunnan province, on Tuesday. The clash occurred in October 2014 when workers from a construction company and residents in Fuyou village fought due to disputes over land compensation. The village head was arrested for "taking bribes" and another 16 officials was removed from their posts or suspended.
