A branch of the Shanxi Chamber of Commerce was founded in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, on Oct 17.
More than 300 representatives of the Shanxi Chamber of Commerce from over 20 domestic provinces and cities, including Jiangsu province and Shenzhen, as well as the United States and Canada, attended the founding ceremony, discussed the culture of Shanxi merchants and shared ideas on developing Shanxi and Hunan provinces.
Since the reform and opening up, the number of Shanxi businesspeople coming to Hunan has been increasing year by year. By the end of 2016, more than 2,000 Shanxi businesses and nearly 100,000 people from Shanxi had settled in Hunan and became involved in various industries such as finance, real estate and logistics.
Based on the Hunan market, the Shanxi Chamber of Commerce in Hunan will help improve the reputation of Shanxi companies and work for socio-economic growth in both provinces.
