The city of Baotou, Innner Mongolia held a forestation conference, on March 4, to discuss related work for this coming spring, where participants came to similar conclusions on the city's work last year and put this year's target at 565,000 hectares of forestation and a 45,000-hectare greening project, while adding 4.5 million trees.

Participants also pointed to the importance of continuing the work of ensuring the survival rate of trees and setting up a long-term mechanism for forestation overall.
