Argentina's ambassador to China, Gustavo Martina, paid a visit to a tea plantation in Guiyang, Guizhou province, on June 29, noting that he considers tea to be a sort of bond for Sino-Argentine friendship.
Martina explained that the Eco Forum gave him a great chance to bring his wife here to see the beautiful scenery and that he is also interested in Chinese tea culture and will certainly take some tea back to his home and introduce it to friends and relatives.
He said that Argentina has many similarities to Guizhou in its ecosystem, and, as a developing country, sees many opportunities in Sino-Argentine relation, among which organic tea is just one good example.
Guizhou has tried hard to develop its ecological economy, as part of China's ecological civilization and the Eco Forum in Guiyang has given its concept of eco-development increasing recognition.
