The 2013 China Guizhou Ethnic Expo, themed "Ecology, Roots, Culture, Legacy, Economics and Trade", will be held in Guiyang from August 8 to October 21.
Guizhou is a multi-ethnic province with rich folk cultures, such as the Grand Song of the Dong minority, the Torch Festival of the Yi minority, the Fly Song from Miao minority, wax printing, embroidery and silver jewelry.
The expo has various activities including parades, a Chiyou cultural summit, folk paintings, a calligraphy exhibition and a garden party.
Research specialists from Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, the United States, Canada, France and Australia will exchange experiences on Chiyou culture at the 2013 China (Guizhou) National Culture and Chiyou Cultural Summit Forum.
