Singaporean singers loved by China
Jocie Kwok 郭美美
Jocie Kwok was the first artist to be granted copyright to sing Mouse Loves Rice, a song that took China by the storm in 2004. Her first album, No More Panic, attained platinum status with its sales worldwide.
郭美美是首個(gè)獲權(quán)翻唱《老鼠愛(ài)大米》的歌手,這首歌在2004年風(fēng)靡全中國(guó)。她的首張專(zhuān)輯《不怕不怕》全球銷(xiāo)量超過(guò)100萬(wàn)張,成為白金唱片。
Kwok, whose Chinese name is pronounced Guo Meimei, suffered greatly after an Internet celebrity by the same name stirred a large scandal affiliated with the Red Cross. Though the two are in no way related to one another, the impact from the Red Cross scandal was so big that it cut down 70 percent of Kwok's commercial activities.
郭因?yàn)槠渲形拿烂琅c網(wǎng)絡(luò)紅人郭美美同名,在后者被曝光與紅十字會(huì)的巨大丑聞后,備受牽連。盡管這二人毫無(wú)聯(lián)系,卻因?yàn)榧t十字會(huì)丑聞的巨大影響,使得歌手郭美美的商業(yè)活動(dòng)被削減了70%。
