“支持率”相應(yīng)的英文表達(dá)是“approval ratings”，“rating”在這里指“評(píng)估、評(píng)價(jià)”，和approval 連用時(shí)常做復(fù)數(shù)，如：The
Gallup poll gave the Senator an 83 per cent approval
ratings.（蓋洛普民意測(cè)驗(yàn)結(jié)果表明這位參議院擁有83%的支持率。）
此外，rating可作“等級(jí)級(jí)別（尤指軍階）”、“收視率”，如：a ship with a rating of 200000
