Olympic training textbooks published

Primary school students are curious about the books and cannot wait to read them.

A set of textbooks for Olympic training purpose were unveiled in Beijing on Wednesday, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG)announced.

The birth of the textbooks was a result of efforts by higher education institutions in Beijing and hundreds of experts in the past year.

The books comprise of six categories, including readers for Beijing Olympic Games staff, volunteers, service industries, secondary and primary school students and on the Beijing Paralympic Games.

The compilers are working on books of another five categories. Among them reader for college students and reader on spoken English are ready for publication, while reader for citizens and spectators as well as "Beijing Olympic Games Welcomes You" are currently being compiled.

BOCOG has also finished compilation of two other books, covering sports of the 29th Olympic Games and the 13th Paralympic Games.

The textbooks focus on the needs of different users to help them know more about the Olympic Movement, the objectives and concepts of Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the way they should properly behave.
