報道中的voucher就是引起臺灣民眾公憤的“禮券”，也可寫成“gift
voucher”。實質(zhì)上，在現(xiàn)實生活中，人們使用voucher的頻率相當(dāng)高，如員工的“飯票”、用來購物的“購物券”，這時，其英文的基本釋義是a
certificate which is worth a certain monetary value，即我們常常言及的“代金券”。請看下面例句：
Some firms give their workers luncheon vouchers. 有些公司會給員工發(fā)午餐券。
另外，voucher也用來指“a written record of expenditure, a proof”（花費的憑據(jù)、單據(jù)），例如：a
baggage voucher（行李單）；a pay voucher（工資單）。由此，voucher做動詞時也可引申為“證明；出示憑證”，例如：
A company would voucher employees when the payroll cannot be met.
公司在發(fā)不出工資時，會給員工開寫一定的憑證。
