Chen, whose approval rating has sunk to new lows after an insider trading scandal implicated his son-in-law. And meanwhile, Chen's wife, Wu Shu-chen is involved in another scandal, accused of receiving free vouchers from the management of an upscale Taipei department store.

實質(zhì)上,在現(xiàn)實生活中,人們使用voucher的頻率相當(dāng)高,如員工的“飯票”、用來購物的“購物券”,這時,其英文的基本釋義是a certificate which is worth a certain monetary value,即我們常常言及的“代金券”。

Some firms give their workers luncheon vouchers.

另外,voucher也用來指“a written record of expenditure, a proof”(花費的憑據(jù)、單據(jù)),例如:a baggage voucher(行李單);a pay voucher(工資單)。

A company would voucher employees when the payroll cannot be met.
