Actress Kate Hudson and her husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson are splitting 

Three months after their separation was made public, rock singer Chris Robinson filed for divorce on November 17 from actress Kate Hudson, his wife of nearly six years, court papers revealed.

Robinson, 39, cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint custody of the couple's 2-year-old son, Ryder, according to a divorce petition first made public by the celebrity news Web site TMZ.com.

TMZ reported that the couple, who married on New Year's Eve in 2000, had a prenuptial agreement.

Hudson, 27, acknowledged through her publicist in mid-August that she and Robinson were splitting.
