Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said Monday that Indonesia takes benefit from China 's rapidly growing economy as both countries now enjoy significant growth in bilateral trade volume.

Susilo said the world might be "worried" about China's rapid growth, but for Indonesia, the expanding economy in China delivers positive result of higher bilateral trade volume in favor of Indonesia.

"We must be able to anticipate the presence of emerging economic powers, such as China, India and Vietnam. But we don't need to worry because we have opportunities to take benefits from their revivals," Susilo said when opening a meeting on Indonesia's long term development planning.

According to the Central Statistics Agency, China was Indonesia's fourth largest destination country for its non-oil exports in 2004 after Japan, the United States and Singapore. Indonesia's non-oil export to China rose 25.5 percent to 3.15 billion US dollars in 2004 against 2.93 billion a year earlier.

China last year also surpassed the United States as the third largest supplier for Indonesian import, grabbing 9.86 percent of Indonesia's 34.66 billion dollars non-oil import.
