A pump station inside Shanghai's anti-flood wall that had been withstanding high waters on the Huangpu River finally subsides under pressure yesterday, following the break of a dyke below the wall. The collapse was caused by work on nearby cross-river rail tunnels on Tuesday. More than 500 armed police have been busy dealing with the emergency. [newsphoto.com.cn]
