"Design Shanghai 2016", a grand design event in Asia, is showcasing thousands of new works created by top designers from around the world. Top design brands like Cassina，Vitra，Moroso and high-end brands from China such as DomusAurea and Maxarts are involved in the event.

There are three main pavilions: the contemporary design pavilion, the classic design pavilion, and the limited design pavilion. The contemporary pavilion is the core exhibition area which focuses on modern furniture and office supplies. The event will feature various forums exploring on topics related to Chinese and foreign designs.

The event opens at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Wednesday and will run through March 12.
