HANGZHOU - Wang Guangrong, a former official of Hangzhou city, in east China's Zhejiang Province, has been put under investigation for suspected serious disciplinary violations, the city government said Thursday.

Wang was former vice secretary-general of Hangzhou Municipal Government and executive deputy general director with the Qianjiang central business district of Hangzhou, according to the official website of the Hangzhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Wang has retired.
