The data released by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the SOE regulator, said that the donations are mainly used for disaster-relief work and public welfare.

Shenhua Group Corporation Limited, China's largest coal company, topped donations with 1.038 billion yuan, with eight other SOEs donating over 100 million yuan, according to SASAC.

Currently, China has 121 centrally administered state-owned enterprises with total assets worth nearly 24 trillion yuan.
