Job hunters outnumber openings in cities

Job seekers outnumbered the openings in Chinese cities by a narrow margin of 2.7 percent in the fourth quarter of last year according to the latest report on national labor markets, Xinhua reported.
5.36 million job hunters chased 5.22 million vacancies in 103 Chinese cities with a population of 190 million urbanites, said the labor market report.
The report also observed a regional difference. Job seekers oversupply the market demand in eastern costal cities, while central and western regions are left short-handed.
