Police hunt for suspect after 7 slain

Updated: 2009-03-03 16:09 UIYANG -- Chinese police are hunting for a suspect after seven people in a village of Guizhou Province in southwest China were murdered Sunday evening.
Without saying how they died, the county's party chief Wu Anyu said on Tuesday that the seven were all murdered in Jiekui village of Qianxi county. Police officers were trying to find the suspect based on clues collected after a field investigation at the site, Wu added. Public security authorities refused to offer further information concerning the tragedy, saying an investigation was underway. |
