Sport-loving man lifts big iron cube with teeth

Updated: 2006-10-26 08:58 Xie, an 88-year-old man from Anhui Province, is challenging a Guinness world record by lifting a 35-kilogram iron cube with his mouth. Since his retirement, Xie became addicted to sports, taking part in many events for the elderly in China and throughout Asia since 1998. In 2000, Xie won three bronze medals at the 12th Asian Elderly People's Sports Meet in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning Province. Five years ago, he heard that a person from his hometown could lift a bucket of water with his mouth, and started practising the skill himself at home.
