An elderly cancer patient in Wuxi of Jiangsu Province said he successfully rid himself of the ailment by practising calligraphy.

Ping, in his 70s, was diagnosed with cancer six years ago. He then started learning calligraphy, which he heard could help cure disease. Inspired by a piece of calligraphy in the form of the Chinese character "shou" (longevity) in 100 different styles of handwriting, Ping decided to design works with 10,000 "shou."

After years of practice, Ping has finally completed two masterpieces respectively with 10,000 "shou" and 10,000 "fu" (luck), and his cancer symptoms have disappeared.
