The global gambling industry is set to win a bit less money from the world's punters this year. Gross winnings (total take minus payouts, excluding expenses) are forecast to dip by 2.6 percent to $488 billion, according to a report by The Economist citing British consultancy H2 Gambling Capital.

The United States took the first spot on the list of Countries with the Biggest Gambling Losses with $142.6 billion, followed by China with $95.4 billion, according to the report. China ranked on No 10 on the list ten years ago.

China's corruption clampdown has obviously weighed on Macau, where revenues have been tumbling. The region's gambling industry decreased to $8 billion in the first quarter of 2015. The number was $13 billion a year earlier and stood at $45 billion in 2013, up 18.6 percent compared with 2012.

Let's take a look at some of the countries with the biggest gambling losses.
