Five-Year Plan for new material industry comes soon

The Twelfth Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) for the new material industry is likely to be launched in early September, Securities Times said.
The Plan will be the first form of guidance for the new material industry, one of the seven strategic emerging industries in China.
In the draft, China's new materials industry will focus on the development of special metallic functional materials, high-end metallic structural materials, and advanced polymer materials, the paper said.
The paper said that by 2015, a comprehensive new material industry system will be built in addition to a series of new energy companies with core technologies.
