The world's first consumer-grade wing-in-ground craft made its public maiden flight on Thursday in Suzhou of Jiangsu province, in an effort to explore the low altitude market with an estimated global scale of a trillion dollars in the coming years.
The water flying device, which allows ordinary people to enjoy an outdoor travel experience previously only possible through movies or imagination, is developed by Suzhou-based intelligent outdoor mobility brand Navee.
Formally known as WaveFly 5X, the device cruises at a height of between 50 and 60 centimeters above water, with a top speed reaching up to 85 kilometers per hour, according to Wang Yaozhang, chief product officer with Chinese smart mobility company Navee.
