The 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center between June 11 and June 13, the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality said on Wednesday.

"Based on the overall deployment of the national and Shanghai's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) outline on scientific and technological innovation and expanding high-level opening-up to the outside world, this CSITF holds to the concept of innovation-driven development, protection of intellectual property rights, and promotion of technology trade," Zhou Lan, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, said.

She noted that this year's fair sets up one themed exhibition area, four major professional technology exhibition areas, and one innovation and trading service area, with a total exhibition area of 38,000 square meters.

Bringing together innovative achievements from 22 countries and regions around the world — as well as 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country — the number of participating companies exceeded 1,000 for the first time, reaching 1,006. During the exhibition, there will also be an opening ceremony, as well as three major theme days, including the guest city, international organizations, and intellectual property, and more than 40 themed promotional activities.

According to the organizing committee, the exhibitions adhere to the deployment of the 15th Five-Year Plan outline on promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation and cultivating new quality productive forces. The exhibition area is set up to target new tracks, including artificial intelligence, big model, commercial encryption products, productive internet, smart ports, green transformation, marine technology, brain computer interface, and rehabilitation and elderly care.

Zhai Jinguo, deputy director of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai, said during this year's CSITF, there will be hardcore technology, complete service chain, international resources, and immersive experiences offered to visitors.
