China Daily unveils 2025 social responsibility report
China Daily released its 2025 social responsibility report on Friday, reviewing its performance over the past year in areas including political responsibility, humanistic care, cultural responsibility and lawful operations.
As a major English-language media group in China, China Daily serves as a vital window for the country to engage with the world and for the world to better understand China, the China Daily Social Responsibility Report (2025) said.
Upholding its mission of linking China and the world, China Daily made new progress over the past year in strengthening international communication capabilities, promoting cross-cultural exchanges and building a more effective global communication system.
By telling China's stories well and amplifying its voice, China Daily has worked to present a credible, lovable and respectable image of China, foster a favorable international public opinion environment, enhance the influence of Chinese civilization and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity, the report added.
The China Daily Social Responsibility Report (2025), which showcases the media group's commitment to responsible journalism, has been released on the China Daily website, as well as on its WeChat and Sina Weibo accounts, video-sharing channels and other platforms.
Since 2014, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the All-China Journalists Association have promoted a media social responsibility reporting system. China Daily has actively participated in the initiative, regularly disclosing its social responsibility efforts to strengthen accountability, enhance credibility and uphold its reputation as a trusted news organization.
