Three dove trees introduced and cultivated at the Caojian forest farm in Dali Bai autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, recently reached full bloom.

The dove tree, also known as Davidia involucrata, is a rare species endemic to China and is classified as a national first-class protected wild plant. When in bloom, its two large white bracts resemble doves spreading their wings and gently swaying in the wind.
