EV charging infra exceeds 21m units
China's electric vehicle charging infrastructure continued to expand rapidly, with the total number of charging points reaching 21.01 million by the end of February, up 47.8 percent year-on-year, said the National Energy Administration. Of this, public charging facilities numbered 4.834 million, up 28.8 percent from a year earlier. Private charging facilities totaled 16.18 million units, surging 54.6 percent year-on-year. In 2025, the EV sector saw faster growth momentum, with production and sales totaling 16.63 million and 16.5 million units, respectively, growing by 29 percent and 28.2 percent year-on-year.
Drive to slash seasonal hazards on trains
Chinese railway operators recently launched a drive to eliminate seasonal quality hazards of locomotives. To improve the quality, change train patterns and reduce risks, the Houma North locomotive depot of China Railway Taiyuan Group has carried out spring identification and repair work on various types of locomotives within its jurisdiction. Based on the characteristics of spring, the locomotives' heat dissipation and cooling systems have been purged and cleaned to ensure a smooth ventilation system.
