The Fujian Coast Guard conducted routine law enforcement patrols on Thursday in the waters near Jinmen, an island administered by Taiwan, a spokesman for the China Coast Guard said.

Zhu Anqing, spokesman for the CCG's East China Sea Bureau, said in a news release that during the operation, the coast guard strengthened control over key waters by employing measures such as formation sailing, identification and verification, and radio warnings, successfully completing the mission.

Since the beginning of the year, the Fujian Coast Guard has deployed fleets to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols around the waters near Jinmen, further enhancing control over the relevant sea areas.

These patrols effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests, as well as the lives and property, of fishermen across the Taiwan Strait, and ensure smooth navigation and operational order in the waters between Xiamen and Jinmen, the spokesman said.
