Legoland Shanghai Resort sets a new world record in visitors
Chen Jie, vice-president of Merlin Entertainments and general manager of Legoland Shanghai Resort, noted that the award affirms the project's innovation and highlights the growth of China's themed entertainment industry. "We've remained committed to delivering creative, playful experiences for every guest. We will further establish Legoland Shanghai Resort as a new cultural landmark for families across the Yangtze River Delta region and beyond."
The resort, which opened in July as the 11th Legoland resort and the world's largest at the time of opening, was led by the Merlin Magic Making team in partnership with the Lego Group, supported by external project development and execution from Forrec and Century 3.
Since opening, the park has demonstrated strong performance metrics, including high family visitation rates and hotel occupancy. The resort continues to enhance its offerings through seasonal events, including its inaugural golden autumn family carnival and recent winter-themed holiday bricktacular.
