Global taekwondo athletes thrill Wuxi with electrifying matches

The 2025 World Taekwondo Championships came concluded in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Oct 30, with 16 champions emerging after 681 matches.
This year's competition was the largest in history, welcoming nearly 2,000 athletes from 182 countries and regions. During the closing ceremony, Wuxi handed over the World Taekwondo flag to Astana, Kazakhstan, the host city for the 2027 World Taekwondo Championships.
