Diplomats take part in a unique vertical marathon in Chongqing
"Actually, it is my first marathon in my life, and I'm doing it here in Chongqing. I feel proud to have been part of this event," said Ivan Frank Olea, the consul general of the Philippines in Chongqing, who participated in the men's group.
"Chongqing is a magical city that grows amidst mountains and rivers and traverses on railways," said Li Mingquan, deputy director of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office, during the opening ceremony. He described the event as a test of endurance and an immersive way to appreciate the city's distinctive charm.
The Diplomatic Officials Yuzhong Tour has been launched as a signature event to foster international exchange and cooperation. The Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office and the Yuzhong government co-hosted the event.
