Khaby Lame, an internet celebrity with the most TikTok followers worldwide, visited Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, on Saturday.

During his visit, he challenged himself to master the porcelain-making craft, but ultimately had to admit that it was much harder than it looked.

"It's tough," he said, sitting on a stool and learning how to shape clay. "They make it look easy, but I can tell you ... You have to train really well to master it."

Lame, who is known for his iconic "speechless and hands-down gesture", also visited the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum.

A local artisan taught him in a studio to paint a porcelain plate. As a customized gift, he received a plate featuring his classic shrugging emoji meme.
