China's northernmost city begins heating 16 days early

"We conducted comprehensive inspections and maintenance on the heat source exchange stations and heating pipelines as early as the summer," said Jin Tie, head of the automation team at Huapeng. "Next, we will gradually increase the heating intensity based on temperature changes to ensure residents stay warm throughout the winter."

For some people visiting Mohe from China's southern regions, where residents constantly rely on air conditioning to counter sweltering temperatures, it's interesting to see Mohe residents actually enjoying the heat.

"I visit Mohe to see the autumn colors," said Huang Huijing, a tourist from Shanghai. "Before arriving, I thought Mohe would be very cold, but I was surprised to find that Mohe had already started heating."
