Transportation suspended as Typhoon Tapah makes landfall in Guangdong

Surveillance videos from Guangdong Transportation Group show that traffic services on the Western Coastal Expressway, the Huangmaohai Cross-sea Link, and the Hailing Island Bridge of the Yangjiang-Maoming Expressway in Guangdong were suspended on Monday due to Typhoon Tapah's landfall. Transportation services in Guangdong province, particularly trains and expressways, were greatly affected as Typhoon Tapah made landfall in the province's western coastal area on Monday morning.

Tapah, the 16th typhoon this year, made landfall in Taishan, a county-level city in Jiangmen, Guangdong, at about 8:50 am Monday, according to the provincial meteorological observatory.
