The National Meteorological Center issued a blue typhoon warning, the lowest of the four-tier alert system, and a yellow rainstorm warning, the second lowest, at 6 am on Thursday.

Typhoon Francisco, the seventh of the year, currently a tropical storm, was about 830 kilometers southeast of the border of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces in the ocean at 5 am on Thursday.

It is expected to weaken as it moves northwestward, entering the southern East China Sea by Thursday evening and approaching the coasts of Zhejiang and Fujian.

Co-may, the eighth typhoon of the year, was located about 370 km northwest of Manila, Philippines, at 5 am on Thursday.

Strong winds from the two typhoons are expected to affect various regions, including the East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, South China Sea, coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian.

In Beijing, a yellow rainstorm warning has been issued. From 5 pm on Thursday to 8 am on Friday, hilly areas are at risk of flash floods, mudslides and landslides, while low-lying regions may experience waterlogging, the capital's meteorological service said.
