China, Myanmar, Thailand hold ministerial-level meeting on telecom and cyberspace

China, Myanmar and Thailand have held the second ministerial-level meeting on cracking down on telecommunications and cyberspace fraud and agreed to deepen law enforcement cooperation to tackle the crime, China's Ministry of Public Security said Sunday.
At the meeting held on Friday in Myanmar's capital Nay Pyi Daw, authorities of the three countries agreed that they will continue to clamp down on telecom and cyberspace fraud in Myawaddy and other regions, the ministry said in a statement.
The authorities will work to root out fraud compounds there and capture all suspects engaged in the crime.
This year, the three countries have cooperated in a harsh campaign against fraud in Myawaddy, capturing and repatriating more than 5,400 Chinese nationals engaged in fraud crime, the ministry said.
