Several human resources associations and agencies have urged HR companies to eliminate dishonest practices and help maintain healthy development of the domestic industry.

Entities like the Shanghai Human Resources Consulting Association, China International Intellectech Group Co and recruitment portal Zhaopin, industry federations and platforms nationwide called on human resources companies to strictly follow the nation's laws and regulations and oppose improper or illegal behaviors. Their initiative emphasizes providing honest services, asking their peers to display their authorized certificates, service content, payment standards upfront, including on their official websites.

They also called on HR service providers to publish real, legal, effective and fair recruiting information, and eschew restrictive or prejudicial hiring requirements on grounds of ethnicity, gender or religious beliefs. The human resources companies or platforms should not engage in unfair competition and must eliminate practices like demanding money or seeking hidden charges from jobseekers.

These associations and agencies have suggested the establishment of a mechanism to share a list of dishonest companies and platforms. Their initiative said that human resources companies should also shoulder social responsibility and play a more active role in promoting employment, and assisting those finding it difficult to land jobs.
